The Primary Supplier Reinvestment Track is a core pillar of the Industrial Fuel Compliance Fund, a federally registered Emissions Reduction Funding Program under Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations, administered by NGIF Accelerator
This track puts contributions from regulated fuel suppliers directly to work, reinvesting them into projects that deliver measurable GHG reductions, accelerate deployment of emissions-reduction technologies, and advance Canada's clean fuel goals. Funding is available on a continuous intake basis; eligible projects can come forward at any time.

Primary suppliers regulated under the Clean Fuel Regulations who contribute to the IFCF can bring forward eligible projects for funding under this track.
Funding under this track is open to a broad range of technologies, including but not limited to:
Category 1: Carbon Intensity Reduction Projects
Credits generated by reducing the carbon intensity of fossil fuel production itself. Examples include:
Category 2: Supplying Low-Carbon Fuels
Credits generated by supplying fuels that are inherently lower-carbon, whether liquid or gaseous. Examples include:
Category 3: Supplying Low Carbon Energy for Advanced Vehicles
Credits generated by delivering fuel/energy to alternative-fuel vehicle infrastructure. Examples include:
Projects must be at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 9, indicating the technology is suitable for commercial implementation. Earlier stage projects with TRL 7-8 are better suited to the yearly competitive innovation stream. All projects must be capable of reducing emissions in a five-year timeline.
Successful applicants enter into a Contribution Agreement setting out milestones, deliverables, and reporting obligations.
Proposals are reviewed quarterly on an annual basis, with decision dates published for each quarter.
Quarter 1: Decision Date TBD
Quarter 2: Decision Date TBD
Quarter 3: Decision Date TBD
Quarter 4: Decision Date TBD
Projects must start within 120 days of approval and demonstrate verified emissions reductions within five years of the compliance year for which funds were contributed.
